I shared this with a user for inspiration on using Littlebird for managing a project. We're in the process of building out a set of guides that go far deeper, but figured I'd share this for now!
Imagine your high-level goal is to "Plan a trip to Italy." October 30, 2025 1:44 AM (GMT+5:30)Thursday, 30 October 2025 at 1:44 AMAdd ReactionReplyForwardMore
The Workflow: From Goal to Done,
- Understand Your Goal: You tell me (Littlebird) your main objective. This is the big picture.,
- Break It Into Projects: I figure out the major steps needed to achieve your goal and define these as Projects.,
- Create Tasks for Each Project: For each project, I create a list of smaller, actionable Tasks.,
- Detail Sub-Tasks: I break down each task into tiny, specific steps called Sub-Tasks. I then schedule these sub-tasks on your calendar with all the notes and links you need.,
- Adapt as You Go: You tell me your progress. I automatically adjust the entire schedule if things change, always keeping your final goal in sight.,
An Example: Planning a Vacation,
- Goal: You say, "Littlebird, help me plan my trip to Italy in March. Break this down into a series of projects and underlying tasks with assigned due dates.",
- Projects: I break this down into three main Projects:,
- Project 1: Book Travel & Lodging,
- Project 2: Plan Itinerary,
- Project 3: Prepare for Departure,
- Tasks: I then create Tasks for the first project, "Book Travel & Lodging":,
- Task A: Research and book flights.,
- Task B: Research and book hotels in Rome and Florence.,
- Task C: Book train tickets between cities.,
-
Sub-Tasks on Your Calendar: I break down "Task A: Research and book flights" into Sub-Tasks and put them on your calendar (we just released our Google Calendar Integration, check you Settings + the icons on the bottom left of your Chat window):,
- Tuesday at 5:00 PM: Compare flight prices on Google Flights & Kayak. (The calendar event has links to both sites).,
- Wednesday at 6:00 PM: Finalize and purchase plane tickets. (The event has a note with your frequent flyer number).,
-
Adaptation: You finish booking the flights and tell me, "Flights are booked." I mark that as done. But then you say, "My friend is taking an extra day to confirm the hotel in Rome." I automatically shift the dependent task "Book train tickets" to a later date, ensuring your plan stays realistic.
- This is where LB shines as within that thread it can dynamically update the project plan and give you the updated output
